“When you inhale, you are taking the strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world.” — B.K.S. Iyengar

Relaxation, Strength, Flexibility, and self awareness, these are all things that bring me to yoga. I attend my first yoga class in 2007 as a way to loose weight. The calming of my body and mind was what drew me back. This was the first time I felt peace within myself. Yoga has helped me improve: Anxiety, self esteem issues, fatigue and back pain due to sitting at a desk all day. I have practiced many styles of yoga: Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Trauma Sensitive yoga, Sivananda, Bikram, and Meditation. I have travelled to India twice and was fortunate to study and train with Swami’s and yoga masters.
In my classes I focus a lot on alignment, movement with a flow, mindfulness, breath and relaxation. My hope is for students to leave my classes feeling energetic, having awareness of their bodies and mind, feeling restored, and inspired to return. When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I am spending time with my husband and two beautiful sons.
I am a 200 hour Certified Yoga Alliance instructor, graduating from the Vancouver School of Yoga.
